Restore Ministries
Hi Friends,
Dave asked me to give you the Restore ministry highlights for 2026. So here they are:
2026 opened with 4 pastors’ golf outings in January in Livermore and Carmel.
Then we were off to Argentina in February where I preached in 3 churches and hosted 3 pastors’ conferences in 3 different locations. Restore paid for lodging, food, and fun at each location.
I also gave away about $1,000 to pastors I felt led to partner with.
We met with 270 Argentine pastors, spouses, and family members at these 3-day events at beautiful resorts. The sessions at all of the Restore retreats revolve around taking sabbath, taking care of yourself, focusing on your marriage and your family. The highlight is always the session on marriage where, after I teach, I renew their wedding vows.
We don’t keep them in sessions all day but encourage them to play at the pool. When we had the retreat in Iguazu, Argentina we took them all to visit the spectacular Iguazu Waterfalls.
Then in late February and March I preached in 3 San Francisco Bay Area churches where Restore pastors are leading. After the serviceI hosted lunch and staff training.
I also hosted 6 more golf days in Livermore and Monterey. These events always include lunch and great discussions.
Then in April I was in Penang, Malaysia where I preached in one church and hosted a pastors’ conference there. We had 60 participants at that event. In their free time they enjoyed the hotel’s private beach where we provided jets skis and parasailing.
In May I preached at another Bay Area Restore church. In a few days I will be hosting a pastors’ cigar night in Salinas and a golf outing in Monterey.
I also was on the team in May that hosted a camp for 90 pastors at Alliance Redwoods Camp in Northern California. This is an annual event for the regional leaders of Transforming the Bay with Christ - https://www.tbc.city/
In May and June I will host a weekly pastors’ golf outings and then in July I host a 4-day Pastors’ Golf Retreat at Bodega Bay where food, lodging and golf are all provided for 10 pastors.
July-August I will be preaching in Bay Area churches and hosting weekly golf events.
Then in September I’ll host a pastor’s retreat on the shores of Lake Tahoe that include jet skiing and a pontoon boat ride. One of the pastors attending is a chef, so we’ll be eating well!
In September & October it’s more weekly golf events and then in November I’m off to Ghana for a pastors’ retreat at a resort on the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. I’ll also be preaching there and hosting a one-day pastors’ event before I return.
That’s it for 2026. It’s been great so far.
