Our Current Needs

We are actively seeking financial support for The Respite as we work toward the summer season of 2020.
This financial support targets three categories:
1. Our Monthly Expenses
We are looking for churches and individuals who can contribute monthly toward our ongoing expenses.
A breakdown of our current basic monthly expenses are:
  • Mortgage: $2,000
  • Insurance: $350.00
  • Utilities: $300.00
  • Maintenance/upkeep: $150
TOTAL : *$2,800.00

*This amount represents our current baseline expenses, knowing that needs will increase as the ministry transitions to full capacity. Simply put, this is what we need now to just get by.

2. Our Planned Projects
The house and property are in good solid condition, although updates and basic repairs are necessary. Up to this point it has been a summer-only vacation house, so it is in need of some basics to make it a year-round residence.

Our goal is to provide a very comfortable space for guests so we need to do some remodeling to better accommodate their needs.

Here is a breakdown of the projects we would like to begin in 2020, with an estimated cost for each.
  • Guest room 2 and full bath updates: $9,800
  • Heated workshop for tools, projects, and parking for ATV: $18,000
  • Basic repairs and property work: $2,500
  • Furnishings: $4,500
  • Kitchen - Updating cabinets and adding dishwasher: $4,300
  • Wood burning stove and chimney + installation: $4,900
  • Downstairs bathroom remodel: $1,500
  • Upstairs bathroom remodel: $1,900
