Not in full-time ministry?  You can still enjoy a stay at The Respite!

Our mission is to assist pastors in living into their calling at a sustainable pace. To that end, our "Vacation With A Purpose" program provides an amazing Alaskan experience to those who aren't in full-time ministry with the added benefit of a tax-deductible contribution to The Respite.

It's simple and one of the most cost-effective ways to enjoy an all-inclusive vacation in Alaska.
Your stay includes:
  • 5 nights and 6 days
  • All meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
  • Private room and bathroom with shower (we don't rough it!)
  • Guided hiking
  • Guided excursions around Kachemak Bay
  • Fishing: guided river fishing is available depending on the season (ocean charters for halibut and salmon are not included but we can book them for you)
  • Walking tour of our island with stops in the local galleries and the coffee shop (Memorial Day - Labor Day)
  • Tide pooling
  • Time and space to rest
  • Amazing views everywhere you look
Cost of this experience for non-full time ministry guests:
​$2,000 + tax ($60) per couple plus a $2,000 tax-deductible contribution to The Respite to sponsor another ministry couple who can’t afford this much-needed time away.
- Travel to Homer and water taxi to Halibut Cove is not included
- Tax-deductible contribution may go to the scholarship fund or the general operating budget of The Respite at Halibut Cove.
